Hello hello! Wayne and Whitney Smith here,

 

We have BIG news!

 

We are adopting a child!!!

 

We have enjoyed 8 wonderful years of marriage and are looking forward to the next chapter of our adventure together.  

 

We have had an unusual (or maybe not so unusual) journey together trying to grow our family. Adoption was something that we had thought and prayed about from the very beginning but wanted to try naturally first. After many years of trying on our own and failed infertility treatments we’ve decided to trust God with the process of adoption and humbly offer ourselves to be used for his glory. We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. 

 

Our hearts are in North Carolina therefore we will be pursuing a Domestic Infant Adoption here in our home state.

 

This process, while exciting, is expensive. We realize that many things in life are expensive and not everyone can offer financial support but wanted to reach out and ask for your help in changing a child’s life, whether this be through giving or through prayer. Both will be necessary. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. We love you all and can’t thank you enough for your support.
